Although I haven't done the cart witnessing yet, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE it if a learned apostate approached with some good logical reasonings while my missus was there.. Issues could be raised in that circumstance that wouldn't normally be tolerated...

The JW cart/booth nonsense
by Gypsy Sam inhttp://www.christianpost.com/news/battle-of-beliefs-baptist-evangelist-nation-of-islam-muslim-and-jehovah-witnesses-vie-for-souls-at-new-yorks-subway-stations-112512/.
will this wake any jw's up to how they have more in common with other sects than they believe?.

I played the witness interview to my good lady wife , her response ? " Nicely put." I agreed and said yes it was , but it's not the OFFICIAL teaching is it, that we don't say we have the right religion? the answer? Silence. She just doesn't see it. And it wasn't the right time to push it.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention OP.

The Watchtower religion(JWS), that really couldn't fail, from beginning to ........
by Finkelstein inwhen one looks back retrospectively at the very beginning of this organization, you could see that the wts.. was on a structural platform of success, created by cunningly created doctrines, such as the invisible return of.
christ, the end times and the imminently soon to come armageddon, all bundled together.. .. this religious organization like so many others established in the united states was unregulated and had.
no upper governing control over its daily operations.. they proclaimed and taught what they wanted to or needed to sustain their operations as a publishing house.. .

The dog. Dude. I wish there were more elders like you in every congregation. If there were, there would be much less care for rules and regulations, and much more care for individuals, it would be a much more Christian place to be. I was like you but couldn't stomach it any more. Now I'm a stubborn four hours a month Joe public kinda publisher that's trying to fade, the type of person I found so aggravating when I was an elder! Be assured, you are appreciated by individuals in your congregation, but unfortunately people like you and I and countless others aren't ALLOWED to be so easy going or loving, it's not in the organisations nature. Rules rule. Hope you stay here dude, and hope you manage to sort out your own circumstances....

"Is my life now more meaningful, and am I happier?"
by Julia Orwell inso the question is posed in this week's watchtower study at our former cult's houses of indoctrination.
i should like to answer it, and i should like to hear your answers too.. the question is in two parts, and i shall address each one in turn.. q. is my life more meaningful?.
my life is more meaningful.

We had someone answer this paragraph "I'm sure 90% would answer NO, (not happier etc ) . .
He has no idea. We perpetuate this myth then tell each other its not only true but youre damned if you talk to ones who have left to find out. Dya think its a cult much?

This generation will--not pass away"? but according to the WT it has to!--
by prologos inwt writers have decreed, that "this generation" are the partaking anointed, not the general population.. according to the fresh light of july 15 2013, sealed anointed, fads& partakers all, will die and go to heaven before armageddon.. is the great tribulation including armageddon, not part of the end times prophecy, the wt hallmark?-- therefore:.
the generation, the anointed, have to die before the end , but.
jesus said that they* will not!

Jehovah's Witness juror - The actions of this juror are a complete disgrace, said Prince Georges County States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks.
by Sol Reform inhttp://www.csnwashington.com/article/juror-email-leads-mistrial.
juror email leads to mistrial.
that juror now faces a possible contempt of court charge.the trial of a man involved in a high speed crash that killed a prince george's county police officer last year ended in a mistrial.. one of the jurors told the judge via email thursday morning that judging others was a violation of her religion as a jehovah's witness, news4's prince george's county bureau chief tracee wilkins reported.. kevon darnell neal, 23, was charged with vehicular manslaughter and fleeing and eluding following the death of officer adrian morris, 23.. morris and his partner were pursuing a stolen silver acura when their cruiser ran off interstate 95 near the powder mill road exit in august 2012. morris died after being ejected from the vehicle.

In the UK jury duty isn't frowned upon (at least in my murky neck of the woods), my other half has done it and a few others I know have too...

Is there anything you could do forever that wouln't get boring?
by mynameislame innot sure when i came to this conclusion but i can't imagine living forever.
after a while i think i would be completly bored with everything.. not saying i wouln't like to live for a few hundred years or maybe even a few thousand if i could travel through space and discover other universes star trek style.
but the thought of living forever sounds like it would eventually become a complete drag.. maybe i'm wrong, maybe after a thousand years or so you would foregt all the stuff that happend at the beginning and just start over in an infinite loop..

Learning. Travelling. Arts. People. Building. I don't think I'd get bored. But then I'm easily amused to start with...

1914 countdown card in 2014 Yearbook
by jwfacts inthe 2014 yearbook has a scan of the 1914 countdown card.
it does not say whether this was published by the watchtower or independently, so please let me know if you have any further information about it.
in typical offensive fashion, the yearbook blames the members rather than themselves for the false expectations held for 1914.. some bible students even carried a countdown card so that they could mark off each passing day.

Interesting , never seen this before. . . Of COURSE "many believed " they were going beyond the veil, they were TOLD that's what would happen . . That's like saying "many believed" the FaDS were all of the anointed pre 2013...

Where else is there to go?
by snare&racket inwhen i left the jw's, close friends and some elders discussed my desicion with me,without fail they all concluded the same thing.... "but where else is there to go?!".
at the time, the question just confused me, i could not see why it confused me or the very telling nature of such a comment.
i never thought that once.. firstly, this indicates that many jw's remain jw's simply because of this tunnel vision perspective... everything in their periphery is valueless, but the wt on which they focus is everthing.
